Buyers Step 2: Buyers Consultation with your Agent
YES- A buyer’s consultation is really “a thing” and I believe an important step in your homebuying journey. It’s an opportunity to connect with your agent and drill down on the details pertaining to your specific home search. Whether you are a first-time homebuyer or haven’t purchased in over 10 years, you’ll learn something new and well worth your time.
For the past year, I’ve done all of my buyer consultations over the phone. Now that the world is opening again, though, it will be an option to meet in person. This is the buyers time-- so the way we meet really is around the schedule and preference of my buyer clients. When you work with me, it’s a customized experience and its all about super-serving you.
During a buyer’s consultation, we discuss:
· The basics and timeline of the buying process
· Review the Contract of Sale
· Discuss cash needed during the transactions (appraisal, inspectors, etc)
· Type of inspections that are available to buyers
· Discuss current trends and market activity in areas of interest
· Confirm what buyers are looking for in a home (beds, baths, acreage, amenities, taxes, location)
· Recommend Mortgage lenders if buyer does not yet have a mortgage pre-approval
· Recommend attorneys, if needed
· Recommend home inspectors, if needed
· Opportunity for buyers to ask all of their initial home buying questions
Starting off your home search (especially in this competitive sellers market) in the most organized way, is crucial.
